Latest Prayer LetterDear Pastor & Prayer Partners, What a tremendous year 2004 has been! Your prayers and financial support has played a big part in those blessings. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This year we certainly praise the Lord for His might strength as we did His ministry. Looking back at all the Lord has accomplished this past year is very humbling but what an encouragement. Being released from military duty started the year off right. Praise the Lord for answered prayers concerning this matter. Not that I think this hindered the ministry by any means, as the Lord used this time for His glory. The blessings continued as we have traveled some 50,000 miles, covering 10 states, shipping three containers of scripture (914,000 Gospels) and raising funds needed to print an additional 746,000. We are so thankful for the scriptures that have been shipped this past year yet this is only the tip of what is requested by missionaries each year. We are truly grateful to each and everyone for their paper and personal support. Without it we would not have been as effective in getting God’s printed Word to a lost and dying world. As we look forward to the New Year we are challenged as we set goals which we would like to see come to reality. We would like to have another 12 churches supporting the ministry with paper money, and see our personal support at 100%. This is all possible because our God is not limited to our means. He owns the hills, and the cattle on them. His economy is not tied to the U.S. dollar or any other nations. Not only are we asking for your prayers in this coming year, but also your support in making these goals come about. Currently the ministry receives monthly support at a level where we can purchase two-thirds of a truckload of paper each year. I truly believe we can invest more in lost souls for 2005. It is a fact; we cannot take anything to heaven with us other than the souls reached for Christ. Lets invest more in ETERNAL security in 2005. The second item I would like to mention is our personal support. We praise the Lord we saw an increase in support from eight churches in 2004. However, we have also had 6 churches decrease support due to struggles and closing of doors. The decrease and the increase left our personal support at 67% of the overall monthly need. Pray with us about this matter. It would be such a blessing to focus on raising paper funds rather than raising personal support. We praise the Lord for the funds that have come in for the upcoming missions trip to India. Please pray with me about the additional funds needed to make this trip. Bro. Banuel is very excited that I am planning to be with him in March. I think it is very important for me not only to see the Bearing Precious Seed work in the United States but also the receiving end as well. I am looking forward to seeing the scriptures in the hands of the people and to meet those who have come to know Christ as their personal Saviour due to the efforts of our seedline churches. Bro. Banuel has several things planned for me such as teaching in the Bible Institute and Christian school. We also plan to travel to some of the remote villages to visit the churches that have been started there. While I am on the subject of India I would like to ask for urgent prayer as three churches that Bro. Banuel has started was hit very hard by the Tsunami disaster. One particular village and church was completely wiped out. Thousands have died and many more missing or assumed dead. I’ve been receiving daily e-mails from Bro. Banuel concerning the state of emergency. He is requesting not only that our churches be in prayer, but if you or your church would like to help with disaster relief you may contact me and I will give you the needed information for sending the funds to do so. Bro. Banuel is planning to make trips into the villages to assist those who have lost loved ones and homes due to the Tsunami. Although this is a tragedy we have already seen God’s hand and timing in this. We recently shipped a container of John/Romans to Bro. Banuel. It was due to arrive in country on Christmas Day. Much to our surprise the shipment arrived a week early, escaping the chance of being lost at sea and also in time for Bro. Banuel and his churches to use the Scripture in their relief outreach. Once again I want to thank everyone for his or her faithful prayers and support. May God bless you in 2005 as we serve Him together. It is an honor to be your missionary, in the Lord’s Army. In His Service, Bro. Samuel E. Martin |
