Brother William [Bill] and Ginny Byers:
For a number of years, prior to his going home to be with the Lord, Brother Byers maintained a heavily visited Internet site called "Bearing Precious Seed". This site contained much valuable content that was inspirational, informative, and a virtual treasure chest of fundamental, King James Bible-believing information and resources.
All of his work can be viewed at this link. We hope this labor of love by Brother Byers is a blessing to you. He loved working on this site, and it was very rewarding to him to hear from visitors.
We are grateful to the people at Internet Archive Wayback Machine for allowing us to retrieve this treasure of works from Brother William Byers.
From Sister Ginny Byers- August 8th, 2006
In February of 1987, after pastoring for 13 years, the Lord led
Brother William Byers to begin working with
the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry.
Being commissioned out of Liberty Baptist Tabernacle [Pastor H. Wayne Williams]
in Rapid City, SD, he and his wife Ginny began traveling full time in an RV for
the ministry. They stepped out completely by faith, having been promised $10 a
month support from some friends. For the next 7 years they raised their own
personal support, as well as paper support. God greatly blessed. Brother Bill
preached, raising money for the paper needed for the Scriptures to be printed.
He saw literally millions of Scriptures printed, collated, and sent around the
world during his ministry. He also visited various mission fields around the
world, helping to hand out the Scriptures shipped there, as well as encouraging
pastors and missionaries. Brother Byers also held conferences on the King James
issue, and on Baptist history.
In 1999, the Lord led them to move their membership, and the ministry to Eastside Baptist Church in Sioux Falls, SD [Pastor Phillip Spencer]. Throughout the years they traveled for the BPS ministry. They saw many churches begin working with the printing ministry, in one way or another. Some supported monetarily, and prayed...some began printing, some collated, and some shipped.
After traveling for 15 years for the BPS ministry, in late 2000, Brother Byers was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. He wasn't able to do any more traveling. Eight short months later, August 14th, 2001, he went home to be with the Lord, whom he loved and served faithfully for so many years.
For twelve years, Brother Bill and Ginny prayed for helpers to raise money. The ministry now continues through the Samuel Martin family, whom God raised up for this ministry, in His perfect timing. There are also several other faithful men of God who work with Brother Martin now.
In Christ,
Ginny----Rom. 8:28 and Ps. 18:30
